Look what I got on Friday?

Isn’t it pretty? It is for my budding new business venture. I made the mistake of migrating all my information at one time…and for eight hours was completely locked out of both my computers. Sometimes that’s a good thing, I must admit. I went shopping, cleaned the kitchen, read, wrote some of my new business plan…and kept checking to see how much longer my computers were going to be bosom migration buddies (it started at 16 hours! … but moved more quickly than that, thank goodness).

Having a Mac laptop that can swap files more easily with my Mac mini desktop is wonderful. Being able to work downstairs near the woodstove is a nice perk for the next few months, too. Cheaper, too, since I can use the office space heater less.

I also found a new Widget for my Dashboard (you PC users close your ears, this makes no sense to you because it is in secret Maclanguage): Reminder. It is a simple alarm I can use to time myself. I have been looking for this since the Dashboard first offered Widgets, and hadn’t found anything until this one. Love it. Recommend it to anyone who is trying to manage/balance time spent working/planning/blogging/playing Bejeweled.

Also downloaded Twidget for the Dashboard. I mean to start learning to use Twitter properly. Next week. Or so.

Fun. A new computer is the next best thing to a new house for making me think I will finally get organized.
